Nadav Kander as guest star of the festival “PORTRAIT(S)” in Vichy

From June 7 to September 29, 2024 in Vichy, France, Nadav Kander presents “The Edge of Things”, an immersive exhibition of his work, combining installations, films and photographs, some of which have never been seen before. A master picture maker and a tireless experimenter, Kander searches for the unexpected resonance in people and places, those moments when something profound is revealed to the eye and the camera.

The photographer, who has rarely looked back, is also currently working on a major exhibition with the Foundation for the Exhibition of Photography and with curator David Campany, sifting through four decades’ of constant image making. Cutting across genres and projects, the exhibition will draw out the hidden threads that connect all his work: the fragility of human existence, the passing of time, the grain of the everyday and the hope of something transcendent.
